The Challenge

In April 2024, Health Holding Company approved their new 5-year strategy that would enable the transformation of the health system in the Kingdom. HHC is one of three future organisations in the health ecosystem, alongside the Ministry of Health and the Center for National Health Insurance and has a significant mandate and requirement to operationalize 20 Health Clusters, prepare them to become Accountable Care Organizations, and embed critical capabilities such as Revenue Cycle Management and effective Population Health tools.

HHC required support to develop and execute a communications strategy to drive both internal and external engagement with the organization’s overarching strategy. Internally, this meant building understanding and engagement across a network of 300,000 employees, whilst externally this means strengthening HHC’s position and establishing key partnerships to support the attainment of key strategic ambitions.

Our Approach

  • Developed a robust communications strategy and plan to communicate the new strategy and inspire active engagement across the organization, supported by a suite of assets, frameworks, engagement tools and targeted campaigns focused on unique stakeholder comms requirements
  • Delivered a series of high-impact events across the company, it’s 20 regional health clusters, and wider ecosystem partners to amplify the strategy
  • Engaged with entities within the Ministry of Health ecosystem to establish strong partnerships and deliver mutual value through collaborative strategic initiatives
  • Introduced structured communications reporting mechanisms to measure campaign performance, continuously improving the approach to maximise engagement across audiences

Key Outcomes

  • Delivered a year-long calendar of events and campaigns, including the '4-5-6’ campaign which gained visibility at the ministerial level​
  • Established partnerships with 10 key Ministry of Health entities, with active collaboration on multiple strategic projects​
  • Launched the ‘Strategy E-Learning Modules’ to HHC’s 300,000 employees, ensuring consistent understanding of the strategy​
  • Supported the delivery of major events, including the Global Health Exhibition, HHC’s annual ‘Inspire’ leadership forum, and a series of ‘Mini-Inspire Townhall’ events to extend reach and enforce key strategic messaged​
  • Produced the company’s Annual Strategy Report 2024 – ‘Momentum’ which highlights key achievements in the first year of activating the strategy. Presented to the Board, this report will now serve as a signature annual publication with a refreshed theme each year, aligned to HHC’s values​
